Meet Catherine
Catherine Gergley started The Winter Park Nature Camp at Mead Gardens 26 years ago steaming from the perfect blend of nature and education, two subjects she is passionate about.
Catherine, a school teacher has taught for over 28 years, specializing in Gifted Education. She has a love for all things nature and helping students learn and grow.
The Nature Camp has allowed her to foster a love of learning for 1000s of kids over the years. Catherine provides hands on learning rooted in curiosity, fun, and enrichment at her camp. What she appreciates most is the unique learning opportunities that the camp environment facilitates.
She says her favorite part of leading The Nature Camp is seeing the delight on campers’ faces when they make connections while learning in a natural fun environment.

Campers learn about Animals through daily, hands-on experiences at The Nature Camp of Winter Park.
Animal Speakers
Animal experts visit daily to provide academic instruction. We reinforce lessons through crafts, games and STEAM related challenges.
Adventures In STEM/STEAM
Reinforce your child’s passion for mother nature with planned “discovery” outdoor activities, scavenger hunts, and engineering with nature!
Outdoor Nature Exploration
Curiosity comes to life with a planned Survivor Day and Mud Experiences that campers talk about for years to come!

We are so excited for another amazing summer!
June 5th to July 28
9am to 2pm, located at St. John’s evangelical Lutheran Church
We have moved at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Parents will enter the front loop for drop off. A counselor will be there to greet you for sign-in. Your child’s temperature will be taken prior to entering the building.
