Meet Catherine
Catherine Gergley started The Winter Park Nature Camp at Mead Gardens 26 years ago steaming from the perfect blend of nature and education, two subjects she is passionate about.
Catherine, a school teacher has taught for over 28 years, specializing in Gifted Education. She currently teaches Kindergarten at Audubon Park K-8 school. She has a love for all things nature and helping students learn and grow.
The Nature Camp has allowed her to foster a love of learning for 1000s of kids over the years. Catherine provides hands on learning rooted in curiosity, fun, and enrichment at her camp. What she appreciates most is the unique learning opportunities that the camp environment facilitates.
She says her favorite part of leading The Nature Camp is seeing the delight on campers’ faces when they make connections while learning in a natural fun environment.
Daily Activities/Choices
Hands on Animal Time, STEAM/Science experiments, building, crafts, games, outdoor scavenger hunts/sports, singing & performing on stage and much more….

June 9th to August 1st
9am to 2pm, located at St. John’s evangelical Lutheran Church
Located at the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Parents will enter the front loop for drop off. A counselor will be there to greet you for sign-in. Your child’s temperature will be taken prior to entering the building.
